Thread: You know what I hate

When ever I tell my family about Lucid dreaming .they have a skeptical look on their faces... like its impossible

Send em here, we'll knock some reality into em!

I would tell my friends and family about it but they probably wouldn't care or think I am strange and give me strange looks.

i told my parents and my mom has been having natural lucid dreams for as long as she can remember and some out of body experiences while my dad hasn't remembered a dream... ever.

i don't even bother with telling them. they would'nt understand, and ask me if jesus would approve of it.

My moms very open to it, then , shes a hindu. My dad well..I never talked to him about it..

Got the same problem...

And if they saw me meditating, they would think im turning into some kind of 'weirdo', and ask if im having dinner with satan...

They dont do that to me... they're just like... what ever you want to do...!!!!

yeah alot of my family is like that. exept my mother, she finds it interesting.

but I have gotten some weird looks. <-- like that

Well, i think i convinced them, but not enough to be really interested. My brother is going to try though.

Yes i get some of those also.

How can people ever look at you like that? I mean, everybody must of, at some point in their life, had a lucid dream. You might as well just say "have you ever had a dream where you can control it?" and they'll say "yes", I bet. But if you ask them "have you ever had a lucid dream?", they'll either say "no," or "whuzzat?"

well yes, but they most likely didn't rememeber it. as I have pointed out many times before, the majority of people don't care about thier dreams at all, and choose not to remember them...which, alot of times leads them to believe they don't dream at all.

Oh man that would suck if I thought I didnt dream at all... I always have one dream a night

hint: i know this may sound cocky, but in all means, its just some good advice! =If you use your dream journal seriously, you will recall so much more per night!

If you're a lazy bugger, like me, and can't be bothered to even write, you might want to try the online (and free) Dreamjournal program, which is made just for dreams. Not very spiffy, but it's good enough for me.

You might mention to them that many of the books in the Bible were written due to divinely inspired visions and dreams... I have gotten some weird looks from some fellow Christians though because it seems many people immediately tie lucid dreaming to drug use or the occult or both. Go figger.
