ONly if you have sleep apnea. |

I'm wondering, does controlling your breathing in your lucid dream affect how your physical body breath? For example, you hold your breath in the dream and you actually do hold your breath in real life (as with eye movement in the dream being reflected in your waking world body). |

Yes, I think that Lucid Dream researchers have used breathing patterns as a signal that the Lucid State has been achieved. Easy enough to give a signal -- if you become Lucid, then take two deep breaths followed by four rapid breaths followed by two deep breaths. |

then holding your breath till you die in a dream can suffocate you in real life, right |
|
Interesting. I know that breathing patterns are related very much to sleep and dreaming. If you hold your breath in a lucid dream do you really stop breathing physically? |

Good, then I can take advantage of this connection in demonstrating the existence of lucid dreaming to some people around me who are skeptical of it. Though I need to learn how to have LDs at will first and get an audio recorder... |
