      Suggestions for reality checks?

Hello, Im rather new to this forum. So sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

I have been practicing lucid dreaming for about 2-4 months now, I've had 3 Lucid dreams so far.

Latley My dreams have been extremely vivid, like I can't even tell if its real or not, there are only some key points that are off.

I've been doing reality checks everyday, (Hold nose try to pass air through fingers, and counting my fingers.)
So far I haven't really seen any of those in my dreams...like, ever.
What got me lucid was hovering, I would always hover and become lucid.

Are there any other reality checks other than counting fingers and nose?
I guess I'll try the jump one but I can't be walking around jumping randomly lol.
Im not asking for hand holding, just suggestions/brain storm possibly?

      Thanks everyone

I lucid dream spontaneously. What do you mean by reality checks? You mean something you do when you are awake or asleep. When I am lucid I check out my clothes, when I remember...usually I am too excited by the flying and scenery. What do you mean?

If hovering is what made you become lucid, then you should probably create a personal reality check based on that. Maybe you could stand still and try to make yourself float in the air. If you don't float, then you are awake. If you do float, then you are dreaming. It sounds like a pretty good way to reality check to me.

A reality check is a test that we use to tell us if we are dreaming or not. If practiced correctly while awake, you will start to use them in your dreams. If you plug your nose in real life, you won't be able to breathe through it. This would tell you that you are awake and not dreaming. If you plug your nose in a dream, you will usually be able to breathe through it anyways. Knowing that this is impossible in real life, this would tell you that you're dreaming.

Oh o.k. Thank you! I have never tried this. But when I am lucid, I fully know it so why would this help me? Just trying to understand!

Well for someone like you, reality checks might not make much of an improvement. For many other people though, reality checks are a very useful way to gain lucidity. For example, if your dream sign was water, then when you see water in a dream you would do a reality check. The reality check would then help you realize that you're dreaming and become lucid. When most people start to question if they're dreaming or not they are sometimes left unsure. The reality check helps them make up their mind. Your ability to easily become fully aware is a bit more uncommon.

You think that is good enough?
I'll try that out, I guess If I do something dangerous in my dreams I can do multiple RC's.

Anyone have any good RC's? I'd love to hear some!

The idea of a RC is as was already mentioned, to check whether you are dreaming to gain lucidity. When you do your RCs you should expect them to fail, you should expect to have 7 fingers, you need to consciously think wait am I dreaming?
Anyway that's the idea of it
