Thread: Music Problem During WILD

So I was going to sleep last night. Often when I go to sleep I have music playing softly from my phone charging next to my head. It's not soft music either, usually Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Anyways, I was going to sleep and I just randomly got into sleep paralysis (WILDs come naturally to me), but I could still hear my music. I got the HH, could see a whole dream scene around me and could feel with most of my senses, but I could still hear the music just like normal. It felt like it was sort of shifting volume, super loud to normal and back and forth and so forth. I could have probably had an awesome lucid, but I woke myself up by sheer willpower because I remembered I had an essay to write for the next day.

The question- Would the music have effected the dream, made it more/less stable, or would it have gone away after a while?

Not really knowing from experience, let me just say this, I found out about lucid dreaming from a post on Nin.com about someone playing a very angry album while going to sleep, and ended up having a nightmare. My guess would be that it can effect the dream, but depending on what kind of music you play, that could probably be used to your advantage.

Sometimes my Sister leaves the radio on in the morning and I swear it makes it so I cannot get lucid, because I have to wake myself all the way up and go turn it off to even get to dreams, but that might be because I'm a really light sleeper.
