Talking Recurring dreamplaces I can't visit during lucid dreaming

Based on the topics I've found through the search enginge, I think it's safe to say that I'm not the only one who revisits a particular place over multiple dreams. I have had multiple non-existent dream places that I visited more than once, but only two that have been with me my whole life.

The first is also the oldest, started when I was 4 or 5. I would stand alone in the middle in somekind of medieval courtyard, with many doorways. The courtyard never changes, never. Every bit of sand, rock, every flower and every leaf stays the same unless I personally touch it and change it. Every time that I fell into this dream, I chose one of the other doors and discovered completely different settings or worlds behind each of them. These settings could difer greatly, from a giant library to a complete fantasy adventure. The last dream was over three years ago, with only one door left undiscovered. It frustrates me to no end

The second dream started after the age of 12. In my grandma's house, I had discovered a secret hatch on the floor of the attic which lead through some tunnels to a very, very large building. The structure of the building resembles that of an old factory. The rooms inside the building seem to evolve over time: each time that I visit this 'alternate reality' through the tunnel in my dream, it gets older, dustier, some times gets renovated and the items and rooms change function and purpose. Sometimes I take dream characters with me (from the 'original dreamworld'), sometimes I'm on my own but I never met any 'alternate dream characters' from that alternate universe up untill a few monghts ago, but I'll post that one in the nightmare section

Both places are very different from eachother. Where the courtyard seems frozen in time and is forever the same, the second place evolves, changes and ages. The courtyard leads to a lot of different realities where adventures take place, while the building itself is a 'different reality', but one where I've never actually been outside of the building.

Despite their differences, both recurring dreams have one very large factor in common: I cannot visit them while I'm lucid, ever

Believe me, I've tried. Countless of times, in countless of different ways. There is no explenation, no feeling of any kind. It just doesn't work. I've even tried to recreate it, but then it just becomes a static place based on the memories of my previous dreams. If I try to become lucid during one of those dreams, I either fail horribly or wake up instantly.

Has anyone of you encountered such a problem or something similar? If yes, how did you manage to visit it anyway - if possible

Wow, that sound very cool! I would love to have dreams like that. Sorry, but I don't know the answer to your question. I assume, you have tried teleporting, crating a door, incubating or shouting "Take me to...." Happy dreams

Are you able to go to teleport to other places in your dreams, or has it only been those two places? It could be some kind of mental block..

I recommend you take a look at my guide to changing your dream scene and try out the different techniques. Hope it helps, best of luck
