      What Should I Do???

So, last night I decided to try and have a lucid dream. I tried a CILD and I'm not sure if that's what helped me but I ended up having to LD's last night... I just learned about what a WILD is today and I'm wondering if I should press my luck with another CILD or try the WILD... I'm off tomorrow so I would have a lot of time on my hands... Does anyone know the success rate of a WILD???

I think the success rate for WILD is the lowest of all. A lot of people who are able to WILD and have had them, don't have them anytime they want.

I can wild and have had a bunch, but they are rare for me.

Trying any method after WBTB is probably the best. WBTB has the highest success rate I think, and it is for me atleast.

Also , if you have never had a WILD before, your chances are pretty slim, but it's always possible.

Whatever you do, don't worry about it. If you do end up trying to WILD for a few nights, don't get worried about it, just don't try to WILD anymore. Some people get WILDs without really trying. That is what happened to me, I didn't even know what a WILD was at the time.

Good luck, I'm glad CILD worked for you.

      Congrats on the lucidity already.

I agree with yay about the Wake Back to Bed method. It's a good place to start if you're going for WILDs.

If you go for it good luck.
      Sweet lucid dreams.

Plz. I would be interested to know more about your background. What kind of person you are. What senses do you like most. Are you introvert, extrovert, what? You know. There are no techniques good for everyone.

If I were you, i would work on your basics. Starting on recall forum. Asking questions there. If your recall more of you dreams. I would move into WBTB or something like that. And then try MILD or DILD. But move slowly. The slower your beginning, the better the results. Whats more important for you?

I have glasses and I usually wear contacts during the day. I'm shy around some people but can also be very social with other people who I've never met before. I think I might be shy around people who are in their 50's and 60's for some reason because I feel like they know something that I should know. On vacation I went through a streak of remembering a dream every night and I still remember around 5-6 dreams from years ago that I never wrote down. Some nights I remember 3-5 dreams but that's rare. I also have some OCD, so being patient is difficult for me...

CILD sounds alot like a WILD, just throwing in some Third Eye stuff instead of relaxation methods.

As adraw said, it's probablly best just to start off with basics. WILD is very tough, and I didn't even start attempting it untill I had 7 or 8 good Lucid Dreams.

Your best bet is to do what almost all new lucid dreamers do, which is reality checks. Do these enough, and also use auto-suggestion. If you also implement the Wake-back-to-bed method, your chances of a False Awakening or a DILD increase signficantly.

On another note, don't try too hard. The harder you try (especially with WILD), the less likely it is to get a lucid dream. Don't get the wrong idea by putting hard work and over-work in the same category though. Spend enough time on a dream journal, recalling your dreams, and working on methods.. but don't lose sleep over it.
You do this every fucking time.
      No sweat.
      No tears.
      No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.

Cool, nightlife It looks like you might have a really good dream recall, like me! I've remembered probably a hundred or so dreams in January alone, a lot of them from when I was 6-10 years old. A good dream recall can really help with lucid dreams
