Sleep positions and bed placement (not dream-related)

So I read this article (short notice really) about a study that showed that you can read a person's character by the way they sleep. If they sleep on theire back with their hands on their stomach that meant they were secure. If they slept on their stomach with their hands under the pillow, that meant they were insecure etc. anyone read about that and were can I get more info on this? it sounded intresting.

I heard once that people tend to place there bed so they can see the exit. I thought about that and realised, my bed is placed that way. How are yours placed?

Hmm very interesting, I tend to sleep half on my side, half on my stomach (all twisted up like ), always with an arm under the pillow, and usually a pillow over my head too. It's really quite bad, I often wake up with a sore back from my odd sleeping positions, but for some damn reason, when sleeping I find it to be the most comfortable. I recently changed which side of the bed my head is at in the hope of trying to improve my sleep posture, but I'm back to my wicked ways already For the record I can see my door, but the room is pretty small.

I find it interesting too. It has to mean something, as well a general comfort factor.

      Here's my set-up:

It's been like that since we moved in three years ago, never changed once. When I go to bed I lie on my back for a while, then I lean on my right (facing the wall), then I lean on my left (facing away from the wall) and I must fall asleep like that.

I should start to take note of my position when I wake up. It's difficult though because I never want to wake up, and I snooze for about fifteen minutes trying to get back to sleep, tossing and turning.

I think when I was little I slept mostly on my stomach and side, then for a long time I could only fall asleep in a position that was sort of half and half between on my stomach and on my side but more so on my stomach, and usually only on my left side. Now it's been about six months since I could fall asleep in any position but on my back.

I sleeping on a futon in couch position usually facing the back of it. Failing that, I can deal with a bed up against a wall, facing that too. What does that say about me?

I usually sleep on my stomach with my hands above the pillow. I used to sleep with my hands bellow the pillows so maybe I've become more secure? On the subject if it's true or not, well I don't know. It sounds a bit stupid but I'm never willing to rule anything out. (most of the time)
