stumble with sleep paralysis prevents lucidity

Well, this afternoon I was taking naps to see if I could achieve lucidity. I was telling myself mantras that I wanted to have a lucid dream and it was working pretty well except I would lose that lucid feeling once in the dream and would be awaken enviroment factors. Now the last attempt I was concious during the sleep paralysis stage and I happen to feel someone holding both of my wrists and I thought it was my room mate but it happened to be a dark shadowy figure that said to me "so you have recovered from that hangover I sent you recently, you wont survive the pills Im going to send you" now I wiggled my toes and swallowed and regained control but quickly fell back alseep to a dream but had forgotten abouy be lucid with that experience. I need some comments on what I should of done different thank you all in advance.

You should have relaxed, ignored what you saw and started visualizing a scenery you wanted to end up in. Interact with the enviroment and pretend that you're feeling something. When you think of touching something once in SP, you soon realise that you're actually feeling the object as if it was real life. And poof, you're in a dream.
