Alric,

There are infinte possibilities when in a lucid dream. I ask questions to learn more about the characterisitics of dream characters and overall the nature of the environment and what it has to offer.

Leo,

I would like to let go of the mindset that my dream is only mine and created by me. I've been lucid dreaming for ten years and have always thought that I am the only one in control. I have never read anything on shared dreams and I will be somewhat skeptical yet hopeful until it happens to me. (If you have a link for shared dream experiences please post it as I would like to gain information on them). If shared dreams are possible, (which I would like to believe) then the world of lucid dreaming is much more complex and vast than it seems. Bringing in another person's mind in the form of a character is an extraordinary concept that shouldn't be overlooked by anyone.

But would it stop there? If dream characters can develop from a source other then your own mind, would it be safe to say that spirits or souls of the deceased, or even entities from beyond this world, could fill the mold of a dream character? The knowledge you could obtain from these characters, by asking the right questions, would be groundbreaking.

That is, of course, if one's mind is able to let in outside sources into a dream. Perhaps all of my dream characters might not all be idiots as I make them out to be.
