Thread: Failed lucid "wake-up" calls

Gee, thanks consciousness for failing me once again.
I am constantly evaluating the ridiculousness my consciousness puts up with.
Yesterday night, dreamed of a squirrel with wings. A squirrel with damn wings. I even commented to a DC about said squirrel with wings. It was fairy-like. At least I woke with a good laugh at myself. The thing is, flying squirrels do exist. Just not with fairy wings... argggg rationalizing dream state.

What are some of the most highly regarded ridiculous things your brain has failed to scream "HEY, YOU IDIOT! This is a dream!" ??? I imagine we all have too many to name, but thought it'd be a fun thread to read as we continue our journeys into lucid dream induction

I was in the back seat of a car with two of my friends who were both up front. The one in the passenger seat was writing in a DJ and I asked him, "Hey, are you into lucid dreaming?" He replied, "No, just writing about a weird dream I had." I just replied with a depressed "Oh..." So stupid xD

aahhhhh but remember you have no conciousness within the dream

as for my story, this happened a couple nights ago.....

my garage was flodded with two feet of water and there were HUGE fish in it, like 6 feet long, and i went inside for ten seconds, went back into the garage, and the flood was gone and the fish were dead all on one side. Odd, but, hey, its a dream. Anyone else?

Can't think of anything too ridiculous at the moment, the best I can think of is a gigantic all-black ostrich which has eyes that take up almost it's whole face.

How silly it is for me to accept that from this rectangular box I can communicate with hundreds of people on a virtual forum, and have this all displayed nicely on a flat 24" piece of glass. Damn you consciousness for accepting this! Wait, am I dreaming?
