Be aware that this happens every single night whether you know it or not. You are hyper-aware when you know it is coming so the vibrations, hypnagogic images and head rushes seem foreign to you. It is easy to panic. When you feel it coming... simply visualize. Keep the visualization simple and peaceful. Does this guarantee a lucid dream? No. Does it help with non-REM lucid dreams... it has for me. If you are lucky enough to enter your dream lucid simply observe your surroundings. Do not blow up buildings or fly like superman. This can cause an adrenaline rush, much like riding a roller coaster, that can wake you up. Take a walk. Look around. And realize that there is much more to 'reality' than we humans can possibly know. |

Thanks for the help! But also, what are the visualizations like? If I keep my eyes closed, would this avoid me seeing demonic or evil presences in my room or am I forced to see them? (Also, I realize all the hallucinations are a projection of my subconscious in response to fear) |
