Not sure if lucid or...

I'm having doubts if I'm actually controlling my dreams, or if I'm dreaming about being lucid. You see, I started controlling my dreams not too long after I started trying. I read all this stuff about how hard it is even though it's not for me, plus it sometimes isn't as vivid as other people talk about. Am I dreaming about dreaming?

Are you aware that you're dreaming while you are dreaming? You can be non-lucid and still control the dream, but you can't be lucid if you were never truly conscious during it. Also, vividness has nothing to do with whether a dream was lucid or not.

You can have a lucid dream or regular dream with or without control. The only criteria for a dream to be lucid is, if the dreamer realizes he is dreaming. This moment of realization usually comes with great joy and excitement (in DILDs), and a dreamer usually says someting like "I'm dreaming". Dreams about lucid dreams are quite common. They happen, after you start practicing and this starts to show in your dreams. So it's really up to you to decide. Happy dreams
