Possible? Yes. Likely? ??? What can be done in lucid dreams?

OK, I want to ask "Is it possible?" but almost anything is possible.

The better question is, how likely is it, with 'training'?

There are two things I would really like to do occasionally in my dreams. One is to go through REAL experiences I have had in the past that are no longer fully possible in the real world.

I am a big theme park fan, and I would love to be able to re-experience rides (and even whole parks) that have been closed since the last time I was on them. Now understand, there have been times that I have ridden things that my dream 'claims' were these rides or places, but they weren't really even close. But with training, can you get your mind to let you live back through early memories that you have consciously more or less forgotten?

Secondly, there are two or three dreams that I have had in the past that were cool enough that I would really love to dream the same dream again, some time. Has anybody ever convinced their mind to give them an old dream back again, years or decades later? Again, I'm not looking for just something vaguely close ... I do that all the time. I mean having the same exact (or extremely close) dream again, because you want to.

      No harm in asking ...

Ya its possible to get a really close dream. Not 100% but very very close. Even though it may seem that these experiences are worth revisiting I think you would still have a better time making up new ones.

Contrary to popular belief it does not require "training" to do what you want in a dream. All it requires is confidence, belief, and understanding. Anything is possible.

The last posters said it all. Yes, it is possible to create and ride roller coasters in a dream, but you don't need any special training. You just need to believe it will happen and it will happen. That is what most lucid dreamers underestimate...the power of Expectation in a dream. There is nothing more you can do to "train" yourself with dream control other than learning to believe. And for your other question, if you really would like to visit a past dream, it is possible using the VILD, DEILD, or WILD method, where you can create dreams from scratch. Like Dutchraptor said, you shouldn't focus so much on revisiting old places when lucid dreaming. You will have much more fun exploring vast dreamscapes or just doing whatever you want

This is an interesting topic and one that I wondered about years ago when having awesome dreams that just ended when they were getting to the good parts, aint that alway the way! I do however, through personal experience know that each and every one of my dreams is stored somewhere in my brain and that none are ever deleted or forgotten. The problem is knowing how to access those dreams again when you want to, and maybe that's when we have to turn to our trusty old dream journal.
There might be a possibility of having a numbering system in your dream journal so that you can actually have all your dreams listed either by number, date or by genre or dreamscape so that you can train your subconscious mind to almost load them up in a Matrix kind of way! It's certainly worth a try and you can use your DJ as a form of MILD by saying that "Tonight I will dream of "X" on page 33 of my dream journal" or something along those lines. Again this is probably not going to be straighforward and I guess most of us here would have trouble just creating a genuine dream location from the past with a VILD never mind a realtime dream location and plot that we have had in the past, but it's something new to aim for.

Okay so I have a simple theory about this. When we are in the transitioning stage in wild about to go in a dream we can see HI. It is said that this is the stage in which me are most connected to our subconscious. So obviously if you wanted to recreate a scene accurately you would have to do it in your wild attempt. As you are transitioning imaging the memory, becuase you are closely connected to your subconscious you might be able to get a greater amount of details from the scene then you would if you made it up in the dream.
