      Weird half awake, half asleep state

      Hello!

      So I have a question about something that happened to me recently, and has happened to me many times in the past in fact. This has always happened early ish in the morning when I'm probably ready to wake up, but not fully awake yet. I'll be asleep and dreaming, then "wake up," in the sense that I'm now semi conscious of myself laying in bed. The weird thing is, the dream hasn't ended. So I'm laying in my bed, conscious of both being in my bed and conscious of being dreaming. Usually at this point, dream me thinks, "hey, I'm dreaming!" and I've become lucid because of it a few times. Other times, I just wake up.

      Has anyone else experienced something like this?

      Happened to me a lot of times and I got lucid a lot of times because of this too, I just love when this happens

      But LDs induced by this half awake, half asleep state can be very instable, well at least for me

      Happened to me a few times as well. I'm not sure, but I think that is classified as a DEILD. Since you are becoming aware once you start waking up, and then go back and continue the dream (and hopefully get lucid because of the recently gained awareness!).

      Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
