It could have been the melatonin that kept you up or it could have just been the night. I recommend you try the melatonin again another day and see if it affects you the same way. If it does, just stay away from it. It could have been SP or you could have been half way between a dream and reality. When you dream, your body paralyzes itself so you don't act out your dream. When you were waking up, your body could still be coming out of that state causing you to feel your cat chewing on you.
Anyway, don't be disappointed. It was your very first time attempting to WILD and nobody gets it the first time. Keep trying and adjusting different things that don't work for you. If you have any questions, please ask! Good luck WILDing!
