FIRST LUCID DREAM FINALLy!!! My experience

Hey guys so I finally managed to have my first lucid dream! Let tell you a few things first. So usually after I wake up in the middle of the night and I go back to sleep I have recorded and noticed that I'm usually on the dividing line of consciousness and unconsciousness, and I have dreams and all but I realizeafter I'm out of the dream that I was awake still. Kinda weird I know. Well let me tell you how that helped ke have my first lucid dream. It was around 7 am and I had gone back to sleep. Now the following happens in the dream). I'm in my basement and I am playing an xbox game I don't recognize, and then all of a sudden I realize that I am dreaming. I try to stand up but I am so excited that the dream starts to lose focus, despite my failed attempt to spin around. I kind of wake up, still kind of half asleep, then I fall back asleep to find myself waking up from a nap on the couch that I was just playing xbox on in the previous dream, already aware that I was lucid. Everything was so clear, I could touch and feel and see everything so clearly. I got up from my couch and walked around. I noticed that i felt like I was moving really slowly, not in slow motion but still slow. I looked at my hands, and laughed cuz they looked super tiny, even when I brought them up close to my face lol. I walked around, saw my dog lying on a bookshelf that's in my basement, then went back near the couch. I tried making the dream more vivid by shouting "vivid now" or something like that and I tried to materialize stuff but it didn't work, and I woke up. But man!! What an experience. I would like it if you guys could help give me some feedback on some of the quirks, like moving super slowly and not being able to materialize stuff or make the dream more vivid. Thanks guys so much for your help and advice!!

      CONGRATULATIONS! It's amazing isn't it? :]

The first thing you should probably work on is managing your emotions once you realize it's a dream. That excitement probably tossed you out. Try focusing on something boring like the floor until you calm down.
After that, then start working on that Lucidity and Vividness. You gotta work it and get used to the feeling.

Watch those false awakenings. They'll ruin some of your lucids if you aren't watching for them. .___.]

      Oooh nice! Congratulations!!

Now that you had your first lucid, you realize how awesome it truly is! When you get lucid, you can stabilize the dream to keep it from falling apart. Of course this is not totally necessary, because the dream can be okay as long as you don't think that you need to stabilize. But just be make sure, it's always good to know the basics. Check out this tutorial:

Good luck and I'm sure you'll have more!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
