Had first lucid dream 2 weeks ago....WHERE ARE MORE???!!!

Hey guys so I had my first lucid dream (DILD) a little over two weeks ago and since I have failed to have another one and for some reason my dream recall has gone down considerably forno apparent reason. I was wondering what may be causing this, if this is normal, if you guys have ever experienced this, or what I could do to solve this problem?? Thanks!

Yeah i have experienced this quite a bit. I tip i think may help is to sleep with your pillow the other end of the bed this may get you out of routine sleeping on the same end of the bed if that makes sense.

      Woo! Congrats in your lucid!

Hmm I'm not sure why that could be. Have you been stressed out lately? Or maybe a change in your diet? A lot of factors can contribute to decreased dream recall. Just keep trying and maybe try some autosuggestion before bed to help you remember? Or if it's about the vividness of the dreams, you can try taking some supplements. You can have some apple juice or bananas before bed, many people report it increases dream vividness a lot. The more vivid the dream, the bigger chance of recalling it. And practice awareness too. The more aware you are in your waking life, the more aware you will be in your dreams, so a bigger chance to get lucid.

      Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I've had the same problems - first couple of LDs on consecutive nights then nothing, and my dream recall collapsed.
My LDs happened on holiday when I was getting a lot more sleep than normal. I know that's important - maybe a factor for you?

Regarding dream recall, I stopped doing my DJ and the recall tailed off to nothing. I've now re-started my DJ and my recall has improved.
Also, try lying in bed just after you wake, close your eyes and try and think about what your dreams were about. Give it time - it might take a couple of minutes or more.
I had a total blank just this morning - not a thing, but tried this. I had to just relax and wait. Didn't try too hard, and suddenly one small portion of a dream popped back into my head. Then suddenly it all flooded back and I remembered 2 reasonable detailed dreams.

One morning I didn't remembered my dream but after some time I heard almost the same word that i heard in my dream and I remembered my dream to all the details

Like BIGCobra wrote change your pillow position to other side of your bed to get out of routine. I dreamed my first LDs at home. My last ones happened on my holiday to Ireland. So yeah I am going to change my pillow position now.

How long did the first one take? It takes practice to have frequent LDs... I have been at it for a year and one a week is normal for my lifestyle. I dont get enough sleep except on weekends which affects awareness.

It took me about a month and a half-two months to have my first one. I have started school so I'm not getting as much sleep and I have homework which is a source of stress so those could be influencing this. It seems right around the time that I have to wake up that I have the most vivid dreams. Also any tips to help boost my awareness during the day? Thanks everyone for all your advice, your all awesome!
