      Question about Dream

Okay so I started getting into lucid dreaming about a week ago. Since then I had one semi lucid dream where I was able to exert some control over the dream and my actions in it. I have been practicing using MILD and recently read KingYoshi's guide to ADA.
Anyways in my dream I was in school and talking to my cousin about something. Then I looked down and noticed someone's dream journal on the floor. I read it over and it was talking about lucid dreaming and I thought. Hey that's cool, I'm trying to do this same type of thing. Then I was talking to my cousin and he was saying how doing stuff like ADA can make you drunk. This was still in the dream. So I decided to prove him wrong by practicing it in the dream. Unfortuneately I woke up right after I started doing this.
Do you think I would have become lucid if I had continued through the dream and done some ADA in the dream. Also why didn't I become lucid after recognizing the word, it just seems strange to me.

Dreams can trick you really easy! Yes, maybe you would have become lucid if the dream went on, but it's impossible to tell for sure. Even if you do a "successful" reality check in your dream, this doesn't guarantee that you will become lucid. But it's a very good thing that the subject of lucid dreaming comes into your dreams, it means that your on the right path! Hope this helps you out!

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.

It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.

Many people do RC's and fail to recognize they're dreaming, you just have to put extra effort into your awareness and make sure you do your RC's properly. As you raise your awareness you'll get lucid more often and recognize you're dreaming from barely noticeable things in the end. Keep on practicing and you'll be fine

Not to worry... Starting out that is normal. Heck, for one week its great! Once youve had several lucids it will be more likely you will realize you are dreaming. But even so you are not always aware enough all the time. But your percentages will improve. Like golf, you never achieve perfection.

Yes, you may have! You didn't become lucid because the logic part of your brain is inactive while you sleep. You usually don't think twice when something in the dream is strange.

That is why ADA and RCs are important. Once you do them enough, they will appear in your dreams. Then once you do them in the dream, you stop for a moment and that logic part suddenly comes back on and you realize that you are dreaming!
