      Lucid dreams?

Hey, I'm a new member, having only found out about 'Lucid dreaming' as a concept. I'm in my late teens, and have had dreams in which I am aware they were dreams since I was young, although since hearing of lucid dreaming, I have been having better dream recall and more lucids lately, without employing any techniques. However, although generally my dreams fit the definition of an LD, (in that I am aware it is a dream) they don't really fit the description everyone else talks of. They vary, but in general I have poor logic and clarity of thought in the dreams. The dreams I have are certainly not 'crystal clear'- they resemble less real life and more watching some kind of blurry film. For example, I usually have free will in these dreams and am aware they're dreams. But often it seems I can't focus properly and entirely lack logic. They aren't at all sharp and like real life. My question is-are these LDs?

If you are aware that you are dreaming, then it's a lucid dream.

Your LDs are not always crystal-clear, vivid, detailed, or with control. They can vary. I think if you have a good daytime awareness, you will have better awareness in your dream. Check out this article. It is for technique called WILD, but it is very helpfull for other techniques also.

And here is something about dream control and clarity. Happy dreams

      ^agreed.

Also, whenever you gain enough lucidity to think a little bit, concentrate on the lucidity. I sometimes do a few random maths sums and remind myself briefly of where my physical body is, which wakes my lucidity up to a good standard, from which I can operate easily and have decent dream control.
Once you have lucidity, ground yourself well in the dream.
And then do not forget to keep reminding yourself of your lucidity. Every once in a while pause and do some arithmetic, I found it helps keep the logical thinking going

Before learning about lucid dreams I had 3 or 4 like you described. But intentionally going for it, plus reality checks, I started having the reality type. I still occasionally have the dream-like kind, but now the real kind predominate.
