Continue a dream?

Last night I was having a fantastic dream about spending Halloween and Gotham but woke up for no apparent reason. I have a dog, so unfortunately I'm not able to return to sleep immediately. I took her out and the moment we got inside I let her eat and put her back in her kennel. I listened to some binaural beats on YouTube to go straight into REM, and did my best to focus on the Alfred and being in the car with him. But instead of returning to Gotham, I had a weird dream that I was a Valkyrie and rowing away from monsters in a place that was a mix of the Medieval Era and the Sky Realm from Gauntlet Dark Legacy. Does anyone have any tips on refocusing dreams or continuing them? -------- I did see some of the previous forums, but they weren't of much help.

My advice is to just keep focusing on the part of the dream that you woke up and use auto suggestion telling yourself that you will continue that dream.
