Last night just before going to bed, I stumbled upon a Lucid Dreaming article:
wikihow.com/Lucid-Dream
I got lucid before, but never used a technique for this, so the plan was to think of cybernetic legs before falling asleep, so that will be my dream subject and I can jump really high in my dream. I spend 5-10 minutes repeating this to myself, and things got really interesting.
Of course I had read about sleep paralysis, and that It can be a frightening experience, but wtf just happened: In my head, I heard an evil voice scream one word, and it seemed to be coming from the left, I can't precisely remember which word but one evil word just out of the blue. I tried turning towards the sound, and I was stuck I couldn't move.
An intense rush of fear came across me, and my whole body started tingling. Then I spoke to myself: this is sleep paralysis "get a grip", no your just bullshitting yourself "wake up now", Try to move your hand "NOW". But I didn't manage to move my hands, better yet I Decided to find out how deep the rabbit hole goes instead of fighting it, at this point.
But without the intention of waking up, fear passed away (more like I made it go away) and after I closed my eyes the visual hallucinations started, I saw shapes like forming galaxy's and old win-amp synthesizers (this is probably the best to describe something which is indescribable).
This didn't last long, I went searching for ways to control my state of mind at that point, the order of events is hazy to remember, but here are some interesting observations:
-Inducing a feeling of "falling" in my head, would intensify or deepen this paralysis
-Inducing a feeling of backflipping in my vestibular system, would partially work but could not be maintained
-Fighting it by trying to move "without thinking about it", would incite fear and tingling across my body.
-Lucid dreaming could be induced after enough "falling"
-Hallucinations could be induced by focusing on my vision and close my eyes extra hard
-Hearing was not impaired at all, if anything sounds became very annoying and distracting
-Feeling was annoying, one of my arms had an uncomfortable position, which was slightly painful but I couldn't change anything about it
-Crazy awesome lucid dreams, but it didn't completely feel dreamlike, it was a bit more blended and hallucination/imagination instead.
After some time, I noticed that inducing feelings or getting the grip was less effective, Fear wasn't so fearful anymore, falling started to feel like floating, moving my body no longer made me tingle as heavily, and hallucinations were almost completely gone. Basically I grew tired/bored with the sensation and wanted it to stop.
I never truly felt out of control, only short rushes of fear but now I decided It was time to investigate how hard it was to wake up, even if that means losing this great experience. I started thinking about moving my arms, because I felt they were the hardest to move in my body, when I wanted to move them "naturally" "wildly" or "fast" It didn't work, I wasn't able to break the spell.
But when you think about moving your arm consciously, there is no tingling or fear, it only feels heavy and sluggish and if you keep moving your arm, after about 5 seconds I woke up quite sudden. I sat upright for a short while and checked the time, about 45 minutes had passed. And decided it was time to sleep, laid down on my cushion and woke up this morning very thrilled and excited about my experience.
PS: My intention of having cyborg legs, did work out alright I was flying and the trust came from my legs, suddenly I realized "I am IRON MAN !!! WTF AWESOME" And then I shot a bird out of the sky with my hand palm photon torpedo.
