So I think you're saying your perspective in a dream is in 3rd person, even when you are lucid?

Hmm you can try "zooming in" to your character's dream body, and shift into their point of view. Or you can (as strange as it sounds) try to "jump into" the scene as if going into a television. Personally, what has worked best for me is I close my eyes briefly, and imagine being in my dream body. Then I reopen my eyes. Fortunately, it works most of the time for me.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
