      False awakening. Sleep paralysis

Hey as i'm new to lucid dreaming i thought i'd share my first false awakening that happened last night.

So it started with me waking up with sleep paralysis and looking at my hand which was in like an army camo colour ((Color if your american ))
It was sort of black and green I did not become lucid at this point.
Any way so i managed to get out of bed but was still really tired so i fell asleep in my dream standing up. When i woke up again i was still in a dream in my bedroom only this time i was stood up in sleep paralysis. I then looked towards my TV Which shifted into a big number 20. And i still did not get lucid.

After that i woke up in my bed. Normally i knew i was conscious aware of my surroundings ect.

I'm Annoyed i didn't notice the dream signs because My hand was a different colour and my tv shifted into a number.

Anyway i'm just wondering if the fact every time i became lucid in awakening life i woke up to sleep paralysis while conscious is the reason i had this false awakening. or if anyone else has has something similar

Anyway that was a interesting dream in my journal i would like to share and it was my first false awakening since ive been attempting to lucid dream

Good job on the first FA.
From my knowledge, false awakenings are indeed pretty often caused by lucid dreaming attempts, especially that's the case with WILD'ing, every of my lucids started as FA.
Non-WILD false awakenings can be easily turned into lucids as well, you just need to find an reality check that works well for you, experiment with them until you find the one that works best.

LOADS of my lucids start from a FA. I think when you fall asleep trying to get lucid, your mind plays more tricks on you than normal.

Don't worry about not being lucid with the odd dream signs, it's pretty normal and that is why you need to train yourself to do reality checks and be aware of your surroundings.

Anyway i'm just wondering if the fact every time i became lucid in awakening life i woke up to sleep paralysis while conscious is the reason i had this false awakening.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by this..

I suggest you do reality checks every time you wake up, no matter where you are. This can help catch false awakenings in the future.

      Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
