      Lucid Lonliness

How many folks here wake up sometimes feeling a bit lonely or disoriented after a lucid dream? After some really strong lucid dreams i often feel you know.... kind of, all alone with the energy from the dream, like i cant bridge the gap.

This video discussing the Sergio teqniques expresses that lonliness quite well,
Lucid Dream Experiments - Bedroom Tips, Lonliness and Memory Re-Entry (Sergio Teqnique) - YouTube

For those of you who get what i mean...... how do you deal with it? do you have lucid clubs? does this forumn help you? Have you found ways for giving more room and value to lucidity in your every day life?
really interested to hear your thoughts!

      With love
      sam

Lots of people have this loneliness, but I never seem to. It might be because I have spent my fare share of time alone (highschool doing school 5 hours a day 5x25x36x4=18000 hours of time completely alone in 4 years. Not counting sleep) and being in a big place all alone with just me and my thoughts isn't a worrisome thing anymore.

Unless you are talking about feeling alone after lucid dreams, which I have never heard anyone having. I feel energetic and happy. Like I just played the most amazing virtual reality game in the world that I can actually feel the game and do anything (anything? anything). So no loneliness. Being on here is a way I use to stay motivated, but not to fill an empty gap. Sounds like you might be talking about the same loneliness people feel when they accomplish goals. Most every celebrity talks about it when interviewed. Or of course you can go to:

"When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer."

Nothing satisfies. "Vanity, vanity, all is vanity" -Solomon.

Other than that I am sorry, I cannot relate.

So you've come here in an attempt to promote your "satirical" (satire should be funny by the way!) video about lucid dreaming.
You really think that by making a video portraying lucid dreamers as idiot hippies is going to go down well with us here? You're basically coming onto these forums and making fun of people you don't know, and it's obvious that you don't understand the topic at all. Good satire should at least research the subject it's supposed to be mocking, not just show your own ignorance.

Just to warn everyone, the OP is just making fun of lucid dreamers. I'd suggest just avoiding the link in his video (no point giving his video views) or if you do want to see it at least give it the thumbs down.

Dear BrandonBos. I think this thing you said about conquering of worlds was quite potent, maybe occasionaly it is this feeling for me, but moreover it is a feeling of being disconnected..... in the sense of, Perhaps i met somebody in the dream or felt connected to something not necessarily bigger, but sometimes deeper within, and maybe i need to work on feeling that connection in the waking state also, because sometimes on awaking i feel there is no one to relate to about it or in fact the energetic feel slips away slowly as i transfer to this waking state. Thanks for your cool reply!!! i dunno if i make more sense now

      - I really apologise if I have offended you, I can completley understand your reaction, however I hope you will read through my explanation.
I do not just use this forums to promote videos, I have a genuine interest in lucidity and the dream realm, You will see although I am not a super active member i do check back here from time to time to respond to some posts and to post general queries. It is in no may my meaning to "make fun of" lucid dreamers, if I was attempting to do that, I would probably stick to the broad misconceptions about lucid dreaming, However you will see in my videos that I am discussing areas such as Memory re-entry, Lonliness felt within lucid dreaming, surrender and meditation in lucid dream and so on...these are not an attempt to pick fun, the emotions and thoughts potrayed in the video are things I realy think and feel. I am a performer and I have always used character , music and stories to explore feelings and areas that I am interested in. I hope you might be able to see my videos as my way of posting on the forum, and understand we are all different in our ways of expression, and I will try in future to make it clear that I am in no way making fun of lucid dreaming or lucid dreamers. However, I will continue with my work, just as you continue with your means of expression.
I have also had quite a few positive reactions to my videos, enjoying subject matter and so forth.
This is the first negative reaction I have had to my work, but I will take it in a positive light, there is a lot to learn, and I think to mock people is not in a good style.
Hoping this clears some things up

To be honest I didn't click the video link since I was in bed talking with my wife. I might check it out later.

Yeah, I see what you mean (I think). You feel connected to you body when in a dream, but when you are not you feel a little disconnected, which makes you sad.

I have always loved that quote about Alexander, the great philosopher king (IMO the best philosopher, but I don't really like any of them too overly much). It makes me remember that no matter how much you have, you want more. Most people just don't hit the point where they literally have everything, so I try to learn from the past.

You can get used to that feeling, just like human evolution theory.
