      keep waking myself up

ok well i have been able to realize im dreaming for a while and it happens almost every time i sleep.
i never knew it was possible to control my dream or that other people could know they are dreaming while in their dream untill a couple of days ago.
i learned how to do it as a result of having nightmares as a child(realizing im dreaming and waking myself up).
now i can recognise im dreaming immedietly and mostly every time!
ive allways had very vivid dreams and i can remeber every thing from the color of a building or door to conversations.

ok so in my dreams after i realize im dreaming and i try to speak i really speak out loud and i wake myself up!!
the same thing happens when i try to move.
either its that or i become very excited and i wake up.
is it possible to become too aware in a dream?

i need help on not waking myself up when i try to do something!

You aren't too aware in a dream. If something happens like 5 times in a row it starts making you feel like it is inevitable. When you become lucid don't expect anything you don't want to happen. If you dont want to move to stabilize I would recommend feeling the wind and smelling, seeing, listening, and moving your tongue around your mouth. This can make you more aware without moving.

At first anytime I blinked accidentally I woke myself up because when I realized I was dreaming when I was younger I was always in nightmares. This is something it took me a few times to get used to. This site helps a lot.

If you are worried about it, it might, but if you do it as the last 2 you should be pretty stable. Your breathing in dream is normally just the same as outside, so if you hold your breath you will wake up. Also, if you want to try something new you can try smelling without using your nose.

Also, one of the major RCs (reality checks) is plugging your nose and breathing through it, so it is a thing most people do in dreams. Best of luck tonight! I am going to sleep soon too. Gonna have some lucids. YAY!

well i messed up. i guess i was too excited before i went to sleep because i kinda stayed on the edge of sleeping or i was sleeping really lite. so i didnt have any dreams!
whats the potential for lucid dreaming? is this something that improves over time? and will i ever have complete controll? ive only realized i was dreaming, i just started to try to controll
my dream and it seems kinda hard lol. i mean ive done basic things like realized i was about to be killed and suddenly appear somewere else.
i would like to be able to controll everything about my dream? if i could i would never buy a new video game system lol!!

Haha. Yeah. You can do anything. No limit whatsoever. there is a control forum and tutorials. I find them interesting! But I would just do things that seem normal to you. So things from movies and anime are all ideas for what to do!

Some people talk about bending time in dreams and staying there for a long time. Others don't believe. Remember. You can do anything in dreams. Anything.

Yeah, just try the recommended methods for dream stabilization/extenders such as rubbing your hands together or those things. So far though I have not seen from anyone a method that can really extend your dreams.

      Good luck

Haha, yeah, I actually remember this one time in a lucid I like accidentally (atleast I think it was) time stopped a moving car on a street, it was pretty awesome.

Well, I think I might need some help too, like evert time I actually DO become lucid, it lasts like only around 10 dream seconds before randomly fading, although of course it seems most of my lucids occur if I happen to wake up near the end of my usual full amount of sleep, then go back to sleep.

Although it seems period that most of my dreams are really short anyways.

Have you tried stabilization? It should decrease the chance of waking up as far as i know. Also do not think about waking up when lucid, that might cause it as well.
And yes lucid dreaming does improve over time as long as you are motivated enough, control improves too.
