Like I use to say, anything lucid related in a dream is progress. Your brain is slowly gaining more and more awareness and that's great. You're definitely not going crazy, keep it up!

Yeah, hopefully you'll get fully lucid soon, maybe even tonight

Try to wake yourself up at night more often. Hopefully you wake up right after a dream and you will remember it better.

You can try a mantra "I wake up after every dream and remember it".

What works for me really well is drinking water before bed and each time it wakes me up for the restroom. Most of the time I wake up I remember a dream.

haha, @gab i don't know what happened, but lately i have been having to wake up to go in the middle of the night too.... the signal? that all to realistic dream about going to the bathroom.

to answer the original question. you are not crazy.. at least not for this anyway. i know exactly what you mean, and i have to say that you are close to being full on lucid in your dreams and probably soon you'll have one where in your dream you'll go "oh wow, this IS a dream!" and then you'll know the exact difference between thinking you were lucid, and knowing you were.
i've even had dreams where i described the previous dream i just had to a DC. stick with it! you'll be glad if you do.
