Now, As a child I was very creative and smart. (Talking around 5-7) I would always try things that sounded impossible. My first lucid dream was when I was 6. I did a reality check and it was a very vivid lucid dream. I flew, and I went to candy land. I did much more but I don't have time to explain because they were what a child thinks of and pretty idiotic. In any case, the reality check that I did, and at this point knowing nothing of reality checks or LD, was me pinching myself. I have no idea why this reality check isn't used anymore. It seems like it would work the same, if not better than the rest of the RC. Anyways I saw it on a spongebob episode where Patrick said "someone pinch me I might be dreaming" I thought to myself as a kid, "what would happen if I knew I was dreaming?". I don't know if it was that night, or some other time that month, but I had a lucid dream, and that's what keeps me motivated to this day. The fact that someday, I want to be lucid like that again, the feeling is wonderful. So far I've had that Dild, and two others last summer that weren't even the least bit controllable. I've been trying to LD for almost a year coming up this April, and if I can still be motivated, so can you. Happy dreaming to all, and don't give up. The reward is worth the work
