      Help??

I'm doing reality checks regularly, and setting alarms with my dream journal at my side... But I don't seem to be having any dreams and when I do I completely forget about trying to get lucid. Could anyone suggest something?

      Quit smokin' dat shit.

Seriously though, if you are smoking weed, go ahead and quit. There's the occasional individual who can lucid dream while smoking pot, but for the majority of people it totally destroys recall.

Other than that, go through this checklist:
1.) Are you getting a minimum of 8 hours of sleep every night?

2.) Are you going to bed at the same time every night? Or you getting up at the same time every morning? (Consistency is important)

3.) Are you sticking with one or two techniques and focusing on them? (Trying a different technique every other night wont get you very far)

4.) Have you tried doing WBTB? Meaning, have you tried waking up for 10 minutes after 6 hours of sleep, and then going back to sleep.

5.) Make sure you write something--ANYTHING-- in your DJ every morning. And even if you dont remember a thing, sit in bed for at least 5 minutes and try to remember, and if you don't remember anything just write "I didn't remember anything." The habit is more important that the substance of the entries when you are first starting off.

Haha no I don't do any drugs, and I don't smoke. I didn't have a dream last night except from when I was just about to wake up, I was a homeless boy kind of like Oliver Twist and I was standing next to my freind, but it was just like a quick image before I woke up

I echo the need to write anything and everything in your journal, even if it's just a fragment or a feeling. Even if you only have a few entries, look back over the journal. What do you usually dream about? And what would you like to dream about? Spend some time thinking about that before going to bed. Maybe a movie you've seen recently. You want to become familiar with your dreams, reinforce habits, and remind yourself of your strong intent to recall. The message will be heard by your unconscious mind.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

Sounds like you are working on lucidity without worling on recall.

This is a good set of things you can try to improve recall with. If you need any more ideas for dream recall, PM me.
