      Hey!

it's is safe to lucid dream since it's only fiction in your head BUT it can be scary if you get "beyond" dreaming like sleep paralysis which is (as you maybe already know) when you body is still asleep but your mind is awake which can create scary hallucinations (But only if you think about scary things).

Before you do a technique like Wild,Dild, Mild or whatever you need to know the basics like dream journal, reality check, dream recall and remember your dream in the first place.

I don't know negative or bad effects, I do know you can lose sleep depending which method you use so do to make lucid dreams, Wild makes you lose sleep because you need to wake up, be awake then go back to sleep. Mild and dild is no sleep loss. But learn the basics first.

I Know the basics... from 1 weeks ago and start writing DJ since 3 days ago... no LD journal inside.... so, about reality check.... i do it 5 to 10 times in a day. about dream recall i practice to get more objects to writed.... and my first place dream cannot be recalled clearly not like second or third dreams.....

If you know the basics then it's just to choose a method to make you gain lucidity

There are great tutorials on this site and also on youtube just type in "lucid dreaming tutorial" or something like that.

      And good luck

Sounds like you are on track. I dont recall my early dreams well. Usually the last 2 or 3 maybe. Usually 2. But LDs mostly occur in later dreams.

Lucid dreaming is perfectly safe and it is recommended for children and teens and adults. Younger people are often more likely to have nightmares, and lucid dreaming can be a very effective tool in dealing with nightmares, and younger people are often more imaginative and may take better advantage of lucid dreaming than older people who may be more set in their ways. Of course this is just a generalization and I am sure is not true about all younger or older people, but it is true of many.

Not only is lucid dreaming safe, but it can also provide an outlet for things like stress relief and creativity.

Say you are having computer troubles - realize you're lucid, then just throw the thing off a cliff or out a window or some such. Of course, you should double-check before doing this, for obvious reasons.

Or perhaps you could create a world to explore or inhabit - perhaps a land of cliffs and waterfalls, rolling hills, jungle, floating mountains, all of the above, what have you.

Edit: As for your sleep schedule - if you are having difficulty, perhaps it would be best to go to bed at an earlier time.

      1. Yes it is safe for all ages. Not only does it take up much time (since you'll be sleeping), it is very beneficial and can hone creativity, diminish fears and provide leisure.

      2. I'm a student myself, I would recommend MILD or DEILD (links below), as you can do them without much preparation before or during sleeping, and won't interrupt your sleeping schedule. you can do wbtb on the weekends too.

      3. I cant really think of negative things except that if you try too much, you might lose sleep or get mentally exhausted and frustrated with yourself.

      Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I would say that the main exception to the safe for everyone is that it may not be safe for people who could make the mistake of misinterpreting waking life for a dream and doing something unsafe in waking life thinking it was just a dream.

      No, I'm 14, but I "started" when I was 13, so you're good.

MILD and DILD, they're convenient since I don't have to lose sleep.

DILD and MILD for me too. Best method if you cant spend a lot of time or have to get regular (but not necessarily extended) sleep.
