      Dreaming vs. The Logical Mind

      Yeah w00t nice title... anyway...

I wasn't sure which category to place this, whether it should be in the Lobby, but then I thought it was related to Dreaming... Anyway... just move it or w/e if it shouldn't be here...

Yeah this is sort of philosophical (w00t big word). So I am kind of expecting (and sort of hoping for) a reply from Leo Volont...

Anyway, to get back to the point, I was wondering something.

Dreams are generated from the mind. If one has a logical mind (like mine) then illogical things sometimes do not work in the mind. I don't mean like flying, because you know what might happen if one tries to fly... obviously, you would fly. This doesn't make sense, let me try to clarify some more...

In a dream, we'll say that one wants to speak to a dead relative. The logical mind would say, "Well, this guy is dead... so, I can't generate a response from him since he never existed. There is an error here... he must go." What happens when I try to do something illogical, my mind goes through that... since it never existed, I cannot speak to it. It views it as an error, and in response to an error, it can't happen. Since this doesn't make sense either, I'll go ahead and give you the example.

I wanted to talk to someone who had passed away years ago. So, in a Lucid Dream, I couldn't think of anything to do, therefore, I decided that I would try to speak to this person. I went to a place to speak to him, and he was there. He would not respond, because I was the one coming up with his responses. This was going through my mind at the time... it was as though I was thinking in my thoughts, if you can imagine that.

As you can see, I don't have a way with words... at all. So... I'll leave it right here and see if anyone can decipher it.

I am also not good with categorizing. Anyway... Please reply? lol

wow you just gave me something to ponder about. can we read DC's minds? can they read ours? and if it is possible. are you reading your subconcsious mind? or is it allowing you to know what you need? or are we just coming up with the answers we want to hear for our own piece of mind?

i hope that makes sence cause it does to me. its kind of like the who's on 1first routine.
Self knowledge is the key and with out it we can unluck no other knowledge worth having

There seems to be two schools of thought. In some books the authors believe in entities that are independent and separate from our selves being that they are another person or spirit. The other thinking is that it is our own subconscious and the information is in our own heads. I guess it is up to each individual to personally believe what they do. There was a Russian psychologist that said something to this effect, Believe you can and you can, Believe you can’t and you can’t, Ether way your right.

A mind is divided into a logical and creative halves. Which side do the dreams come from? I'm guessing there is a work together relationship happening.

I've had plenty of dreams where I haven't said a word to any women, but they've been aware of my sexual intentions. It could be body language, but it seems like they are sharing my mind.

I do think it is possible to interact with those that have passed on. I had a really happy dream with my dog who passed on three years ago. Just think of that person quite often and they should visit you soon.

I guess I'm saying some DCs are in your head, others aren't. Try figuring out which by ordering them to do something in your dream mind. If they respond, they are in your head.
