No I am not waking up from excitement or whatever! I have had plenty of lucid dreams after the past year where I have done amazing things but lately whenever, I am in the dream world, I realise I am lucid out of the blue and it is as if my subconscious does not what me to be lucid. Right after I become lucid, I fall. I fall into whatever position I am sleeping in real life. For example, if I am sleeping on my back in real life in my bed, then in the dream world I will fall on my back. If I am sleeping on my side in waking life on my bed, I will fall so that I am on my side in the dreaming world. If my hand is lying under my head in waking life in my bed, I will fall in the exact same position so that my hand is lying under my head. In the dreamworld, if I try to move my hand, then my hand is forced to go back into position. Everything turns black and I can't move at all. From anywhere between 1 second to around 30 seconds, everything is just black, not being able to move and I wake up, in the same sleeping position that I fell in the dream. |

Hmm..this has been stopping me from actually doing things in my lucid dreams. Maybe this is a recurring dream..but I don't understand how the dreamworld knows what sleeping position i'm sleeping in. I haven't had a proper lucid dream in a while because of this and I can't control it as it occurs within a second I become lucid.. |

Probably a good guess, Gab, and yes, Foxy, since it is a part of you, your dreaming mind can certainly know where and in what position your sleeping body is in. |
|
Yeah haha I haven't read this happening to anyone else, I tried looking around the forums to see if this is common, but nope :l |

^^ Sounds like a plan! Yes, you should still record it in your dream journal -- every detail matters, even the (now) insignificant ones. |

Someone somewhere suggested, if you can't move, try to recall a sinking feeling. And then think of sinking through ground/falling to another realm/dream. |

sounds like SP to me.. you may have SP as an actual disorder... i don't know what to tell you... |

Thanks for the tip Gab! I'll try it once it happens again. Yeah I don't think it is SP..this only happens when i'm lucid and i've never experienced SP ever in my life..why would a SP disorder pop out now out of nowhere? I think it's just a weird thing that's happening in my dreams :S Thanks everyone for all the answers, i'll see if my problem has been fixed when I get my next lucid dream! |
