      Recalling 3-4 Dreams per Night?

      I recall 3-4 dreams almost every night, sometimes 2 dreams. But even I have a great dream recall, I can't achieve lucidity till now. What's going on? Any expert to tell me about the benefit of dream recall ? Please don't tell me that " you cant remember a Lucid Dream if you didnt recall your dreams." Tell me the greatest advantages of recalling dreams and how did you guys achieve lucidity in a dream after having great dream recall ==

      Great recall lets you find dream signs more easily, since you have a lot of dreams to work with. I honestly don't think great dream recall affects lucidity other than that, since there are people with amazing recall, but not very many lucids.

      I think dream recall is the first step to awareness of your dreams, and awareness of your dreams is the key to lucidity. The ability to remember your dreams allows you to recognize the nature of the dream state. If you truly understand the dream state and how dreams feel, the dream itself will be enough of a sign for you to be lucid.

      Having good recall doesn't guarantee lucidity. The act of thinking about your dreams (writing them in DJ count's as thinking about them), feeling happy when you remember something and good feeling from a good dream lets your mind know, that you like your dreams and remembering them.

      But there is more to gaining lucidity.

      For me, having good dream recall helps you become more familiar with your dream environment. That is, the more you remember them, the better you get at remembering how it feels, looks, etc. and in a way, that helps you get better at recognizing you're dreaming. Also, recalling your dreams well is very nice because you get to reminisce about adventures in an alternate reality :p

      Everything everyone else has said and the most obvious one being just the fact you get more chances a night to become Lucid.
      You could miss the signs you're Dreaming in your first 3, then on the 4th become Lucid!
      Where as for someone who only remembers 1 Dream a night, once missed doesn't get another chance until the next night.
      Also the better your Dream recall, usually the more Vivid they become which makes it easier to know when you're Dreaming.

      I believe good Dream recall is the main key to becoming a regular Lucid Dreamer, if you also put in the time and practice the techniques.

      Reality checks are needed starting out. Are you doing 5 or more serious RCs every day? My experience is they are less needed after awhile but starting out you have to develop the mindset that you might actually be in a dream.

      It’s good to recall the dreams. Many people recall the dreams and have the lucid dreams. It doesn’t depend on how many dreams do you recall. Recalling the good dreams lets you to have lucid dreams. Having 3-4 dream recall doesn't means you must have lucid dreams. It depends on the ability to remember the good dreams. Sometimes, people recall 1 to 2 dreams and achieves the lucidity, and sometimes doesn’t achieves even after 3 to 4 dream recalls.

      I believe it essentially boils down to how consistent you are and how much practice you put in. If you have great dream recall and know your own dreams very well, this is the first important element. The second element is how often you think about your dreams during the day. If you can categorize one scenario as dream and the other reality, and consistently remember this throughout the day, you will find lucidity to become easier and easier.

      Needless to say the results are in direct proportion to the importance you place on being lucid. A simple example: If every single one of your dreams took place on Mars, lucidity would be a simple matter of thinking about this as much as possible while awake. Of course, dreams are not so similar, therefore the more you can simplify your dreams into categories and contemplate these categories, the more consistent lucidity becomes.
