Unhappy Morning Amnesia, Forgetting to dream

Okay, there's no way I could avoid a sensationalist thread title like that - but I need to figure something out.

I never have any memory of waking up in the morning, no memory of my alarm waking me up. Unfortunately, this is preventing me from attempting my first WILD in three years, which means I need to wake up effectively in the precious few minutes I have before I need to go back to sleep.

How can I remember waking up and remember to dream?
      Dream Goals
      • Talk to subconscious
      • Find musical inspiration in a dream
      • Draw a scene in real life and find it within a dream
      • Remember at least five dreams in one week

You can try to move your alarm clock out of your reach so you have to physically get out of bed, or half out of bed to turn the alarm clock off. That way your just not robotically shutting the alarm off unconsciously, which does happen to some people.

You can also set a whole bunch of alarms one after the other, in different intervals. I used to have this problem with waking up for WBTB's too. So I'd set like 8-10 alarms (dead serious) at random intervals (2 minutes, then 5, then 1, then 10, etc.) Many times I woke up because I had to turn them all off and I was too awake by the 5th alarm or so. Other times I got up because somehow I subconsciously had paranoia that my next alarm was gonna go off any minute and I didn't wanna get startled awake.

Ooooor you could also try the alarm thing I mentioned with mantras/autosuggestion. Basically tell yourself over and over before bed that you HAVE TO STOP BEING A LAZY AMNESIC BUM AND GET UP WHEN THE ALARM GOES OFF! Hahaha

Anyway, the more you intend to remember your dreams and you waking up, the more you will indeed remember them. It's something that builds over time. Don't fret

      Hope this helps. Cheers!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

      RUN

Really, it keeps you healthier, and gives more energy through every day, which means you need less sleeping (more time through the day), and way more energetic waking ups, which aids you recall. At least it worked for me. Working out is also good, but the best I can suggest is running.
