      creating new colors

Would it be possible to create new colors that arent visible to people in real life in a lucid dream?

good question. I think it's impossible though. Any colour you would be able to create would just be a mixture of any colours that you have already seen.

Everything in dream is possible, do not think about limits, you will only limit yourself with doubts, think about goals and go for them!
Some people have experienced new colors in lucid dream, not me though(yet), but it's definitely on my goal list to go for someday.

Indeed a good question that touches the boundaries of imagination (if there are any!). I heard this is possible under the influence of certain psychedelics, and I think it can also be done in a LD. But definitely a high goal to aim for, so good luck on that, Checker666. Inspiring thought, though.

I would imagine, dreaming up a new color while asleep would be just as difficult as thinking up a new color while awake. Which is to say very difficult to completely impossible.
My Lucid Dreaming Motto - "I have walked upon the the surface of a burning star. Observed events so infinitesimal and instantaneous that they can barely be described as having occurred at all. You... you're just a dream character. And this world's most powerful dream character poses no more threat to me than it's smartest cupcake." - Dr. Manhattan (kinda)

Hmm this is like explaining what a color is to a blind person. He would have no way to invoke the experience. Or like imagining the taste of an apple if you have never tasted one before. But the moment you would bite into the apple, there is absolute knowledge about what it is and zero doubt about it. So I would be careful with saying it is impossible, if the reason for that is simply that it is not part of your memories.

      Welcome to DV, Nelzi!

Of course it is possible that it is possible. lol There are many degrees of light waves, and we just happen to be able to "view" a small area of them. There is nothing special about these light waves, though, except maybe that they are commonly reflected.
But I think it is very unlikely, based on the fact that you would first need to train your mind to do this, and it would be very similar to training your mind on how to move a third arm that you don't actually have.
It is also possible that our brains are so hard wired to only recognize these particular colors, based on consistency throughout evolution.

How likely it is again varies from person to person and depends on expectations, feeling and moving additional limbs in dreams is not a hard thing to do if you don't lock yourself thinking that it's difficult, many people have done transformations.
Speaking of which, that can actually help with this particular goal, just transform into something that can see new colors!

but, while awake, you can imagine yourself growing a new arm and moving it. A new colour though, you can't.
