I'm a 15 year old gay boy and had one lucid dream before and EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE so I was wondering in my lucid dreams can I make myself feel straight (To like girls) |

Interesting question. To be honest, I don't really know. I would assume it's possible, since even in nonlucids or in lucids without much control, we could be totally different people (even animals) who can feel much different emotions or have much different reactions than we normally would in waking life. An example is when we have a nonlucid where we just really feel intense attraction/love towards a random dream character without having an explanation for it. In the same way, you could probably be attracted to women, too. I just don't know how well you can carry it out consciously whilst lucid, since you might have a high level of lucidity and your normal instincts/mindset set in. |

I would think it would be possible because I have had dreams of being a different gender, so why not dreams of being a different sexual orientation? However, at most I think this might help you empathize with straight men, but it won't change your sexual orientation. In fact, I wonder whether just empathizing with others who are not like you in other ways in general would help you accomplish the same thing. I have heard it said that many people only truly learn to understand another human being once they fall in love. In your case, that would be falling in love with another guy some day. Once you do, you may find it easier to understand others, including straight people. However, you are still young, so you have plenty of time to find the man whom you will love. The way I see it: love is love no matter what gender and what orientation, and it is unfortunate that society makes it harder for some people and is more accepting of others. No matter what anyone else tell you, do not regret your capacity to love, and even if some foolish others do not accept you, I hope you will find it in your heart to accept yourself. |

You may say I'm a dreamer.
