Question Was this some kind of Lucid Dream ?

So, mostly i remember all my dreams like, i can remember it up to a year or more.
But let's get to the main topic, so here i was dreaming, and then i was all like "Wait a secon- this can't be real ! i must be dreaming..." And after that i got full control over myself in the dream ! So i decided to try and fly, it was like an helicopter, i was slowly going up, then after 2 or 4 seconds i woke up... And i was all like "creepy..." and got to sleep again to get a NORMAL dream. (or simply a dream where i shoot myself and magically survive.)
Most weird is that i didn't do the thing to get a lucid dream, but i did knew about it, a long time ago and well, Sounds like i did it ! I remember before going to sleep, watching a movie, (it wasn't even the end, like the middle) saying in my head "I'm not dreaming, i'm not dreaming..." for a few seconds... So can anybody tell me if this was really a Lucid Dream but i got too.. well, "shocked" of some sort and i woke up ? But also, little edit, i DON'T REMEMBER WHAT THE DREAM IS ! will the next dream i had after 2 seconds of waking up, i DO remember it ?!

Congratulations! You had a lucid dream It's pretty normal to wake up so fast in your first LD (mine lasted less than 10 seconds lol) You probably woke up so fast because you got too excited, but don't worry, that's normal Have you read anything about DILD?

Yes... But weirdly, nope i don't remember about this. But do this basically mean, to make a dream lucid, i need to ask myself "is this a dream ?" But i looked it up, and yes i did, and it's the exact thing that happened to me ! It felt so good, going to try more.

I know, the sensation of first being aware in a dream is amazing (for me, it lasted weeks). Ok, there are a lot of induction methods for lucid dreaming, but this is the one recomended for begginers: http://www.dreamviews.com/wiki/DILD-Tutorial.
And this one is my personal favorite, it's a type of DILD: http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...kingyoshi.html
Also, it's very important to have a Dream Journal (a place to write your dreams when you wake up as detailed as possible). That helps to improve your Dream Recall
