      A Hidden Trigger.

I seemed to have 'Beginners Luck" as I initially experienced two fantastic Lucid Dreams. Now it seems to have Waned despite all my efforts. Could there be an unseen element to all this. Though I do recall another member stating if one really wished to go Lucid one would.........despite all the reality checking etc. I mean knowledge is all well and good but is Sheer Individuality the deciding factor. I am sure that we all have our various reasons for wishing to be Lucid Dreamers. What I meant was if you really want it enough, you will achieve it.

Once possible reason is that you are no longer quite so motivated to lucid dream. After doing it a few times, lucid dreaming no longer seems quite so incredible - maby even just subconsciously.

If that's the case, its not too hard to fix. Just remind yourself that in lucid dreams, anything is possible. Whether its flying to the moon in your bathtub, exploring hidden treasures, or finally talking to your crush, you can do it. There's also the unique feeling of the lucid dream: being in a world that feels completely real, yet know that you are completely safe from harm in anything you do.
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

      Re: A Hidden Trigger.

Oh....I know that can be so frustrating

This is a good reason to keep a journal - not just of your LD's - but detailing your day leading up to them. Of course, you cannot always know exactly when you'll LD, but using a day-journal can give a source to weed through and look for triggers.....when they do happen to occur.

You don't keep the journal like a "diary" but instead write in major gestaults of the day, such as when you awoke, if you took any naps, if you were especially cold or warm during the day or night, any medications you had that day, who you spoke with, how much time you spent outside (as sun exposure during the day can help induce LD the following day), etc.
