      Need help with mantras!

So through careful consideration, I've decided to try out the DEILD technique. As I don't think an alarm will work at all, I was going to rely on mantras to become aware as I wake up after dreams. While reading the DEILD tutorial, it said a good example of a mantra to use is "I will be aware of waking after every dream" but I've read through many different books that mantras are best used in a present tense and to avoid the word "will" because it's indefinite. With that being said, what would be a good mantra that would complete the same goal but also be present tense? Any examples of mantras people have used with DEILDing would be great, and I also had a question on how to say mantras; I mean I feel like when I just say it in my mind, that it's not really accomplishing anything. Do I need to concentrate more on it?

The most important factor is not how or what you say, the most important factor is that you keep doing it. As with anything.

I wrote a thread on this topic though, but I just don't want you to nuke it and overanalyze it until you start to worry about it. That is what I tend to do alot...

      But I hope it helps.

I like to use any of these:

"I'm waking up tonight and staying still"

"I'm waking up at [TIME]" (If I command myself to wake up at a certain time, I end up waking up very close to my specified time)

"I'm waking up, pay attention/relax" (While i'm waking up)

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I think using a mantra that someone else makes up can be less meaningful. Think of your own based off of these, one that you think will work for you, and it will have more effect, I think. Helps set the intention more
