I would enjoy hearing your stories! I'm curious because I myself didn't discover my dreams where lucid until 6 years ago! I was shocked to find that this wasn't an ability everyone wielded. Also I've come to conclusion that there are many ways to lucid dream and obviously everyone has a unique touch on it. I contact my higher self within the dream yet In a very impersonal way. It's almost as if I'm limited by it from time to time. An example, every now and then when I'm in a scary situation I wont be able to modify my surroundings or even try. I automatically know this is a fear of mine that needs to be worked out so that in wake I can relief myself of the suffering. Once I find a way out of the situation I am aloud to do as I please. There are also dreams where I don't modify anything because I want to see the story play out on its own. In these I feel there is another soul or fragment of my subconscious wanting to show me something or simply tell me a story. One of my favorite things to do in my dreams is to play many different roles. I enjoy popping in other characters, notice there thoughts and making them do things they don't want to do or absorbing their identity to see thought their eyes. I can play multiple roles at a time and can even be everyone in the dream space all at once! Does anyone else do this during their dreams? |

I think I had my first LDs when I was 14 or maybe earlier. I believe it started with me noticing that my body was paralyzed and hearing myself breathe. I've first found out that not everyone can change their dreams when I told my friends about my LDs and they reacted negatively(almost 20 years later)... |

That's nice! What is it that you experienced ? |

Oh nice, sounds like an out of body experience almost! |

I've always had vivid dreams which I could recall well, since I've always had a knack for remembering visual things. I only really realized they were lucid dreams about 2 years ago, though I was aware that I could control them even before. I just never knew there was a name for it. I also knew that other people I knew didn't know about/experience it since I was the only one who was very interested in talking about my dreams. Whenever I brought up my dreams during dinner or lunch, my family would shush me and think it was silly. I just let it go and kept having lucid dreams, thinking there was no chance they're listen and understand me. But luckily I found DreamViews and I don't have to worry about making you guys believe me |
