      Need some help

So for about two weeks, I have been doing the RCs and everything like im supposed to, constantly asking myself if im dreaming or not. I've had my dream journal going for all that time as well. However, when I'm dreaming I just idly go through it, with absolutely no awareness at all.

I know that I need to practice awareness during the day, but I'm not sure how to. I'm just not good at being aware of stuff. How should I practice this? What techniques should I use to get better? I'm fairly sure that if I just improved my awareness, I would be able to recognize dream signs easier and RC in dreams. I haven't had any LDs before but really excited to have one, so any general tips would be appreciated too.

Hey, giantsqu1d! Nice seeing you out of the lake. ADA is basically being aware of your surroundings, so you could practice by paying extra attention to, for example, just giving you a goal, two objects and one person whenever you enter a room. What colour is the object you're looking at? Is it big, is it small? Could you hold it in one hand? The person, are they taller than you? What are they wearing? If you do this in real life, you'll develop a habit and you'll do it in your dreams too.

It might also help you in waking life, so that's a plus!

      Thanks for the reply.

That seems like a nice starting point for ADA. When trying ADA in the past I've been somewhat overwhelmed by the fact that there is so much going on around me. Once I get the hang of noticing one person and two objects, should I expand that to, say, two people and four objects?

You're welcome! And yes, once you feel like you're doing well with that goal, start expanding it!
