Has anybody developed a 'control panel' in their mind during an LD

I've read up in a few places (hypnosis, NLP, meditation etc.) that it's possible to create a control panel in your mind. One that you can access to change your mood, your memory, your attitudes about something among other things.

I know a fairly popular thing to do is communicate with your subconscious in an LD to ask for help or guidance (though I'm finding quite a few obstacles in the way of this - but that's for another post), but has anyone tried asking them to set up a similar concept to a control panel, to allow you to have conscious control over some of those aspects in waking life and if you have how did that work out for you?

To be honest, i think you shouldn't try any self hypnosis at all. Imagine what happens if anything goes wrong. If you want a control panel inside your dream, it's possible to do that without any hypnosis or whatsoever.

Don't you feel like by limiting yourself, changing yourself into something else would take away your personality?

I haven't done any of this(haven't even got a LD yet), but from reading other posts and understanding the basics of LD, then it's possible, if you believe in it in the dream.
I've read somewhere that someone made a button or something , and they pushed it and started to feel sad or happy etc.
SO yeah, in LD almost anything(if not anything) is possible. The question is: do you believe in it , and how hard would it be to manage to do that.

I suppose it depends on how you view hypnosis. I quite like (self-)hypnosis and believe it's helped me quite a lot. I don't see the control panel idea as personality changing, per se, it's no secret that the unconscious mind is irrational/reactive and if we can harness the 'power' of the unconscious mind with the rationality of the conscious it could be really beneficial for waking life in terms of motivation, dealing with emotions, phobias and the like.
