To be honest, i think you shouldn't try any self hypnosis at all. Imagine what happens if anything goes wrong. If you want a control panel inside your dream, it's possible to do that without any hypnosis or whatsoever. |

I've read up in a few places (hypnosis, NLP, meditation etc.) that it's possible to create a control panel in your mind. One that you can access to change your mood, your memory, your attitudes about something among other things. |

"Victory loves preparation."
I haven't done any of this(haven't even got a LD yet), but from reading other posts and understanding the basics of LD, then it's possible, if you believe in it in the dream. |

I suppose it depends on how you view hypnosis. I quite like (self-)hypnosis and believe it's helped me quite a lot. I don't see the control panel idea as personality changing, per se, it's no secret that the unconscious mind is irrational/reactive and if we can harness the 'power' of the unconscious mind with the rationality of the conscious it could be really beneficial for waking life in terms of motivation, dealing with emotions, phobias and the like. |
