Thread: How to Induce a lucid dream?

I asked a question that generated some pretty good responses as to what a beginner should do. I asked what people wish they had done when they started. Note that these may vary between individuals. Here's the link

There are 4 main ways to induce a lucid dream.

So, basically, you can induce lucid dreams by increasing your self awareness enough for your in dream awareness is high enough for you to realize your dreaming while your dreaming (DILD), by training your prospective memory enough so that remember you're dreaming while you're dreaming (MILD), by tricking your body into falling asleep while still being self aware so that you don't lose awareness in the first place (WILD), or by using the fact that you remain in REM for a few seconds after awakening to facilitate inducing a WILD (DEILD). There are many techniques for each method but the Dreamviews recommended tutorials are a good place to start.

MILD is my favorite technique.
