      "Half Lucidity" and Spirit Guide

      Disclaimer

Hi fellow dreamer, im going to start this post with a small disclaimer before you read on. Not much of what i write will be too formulated, or definitley my opinion, i just woke up from an astounding lucid which seems to be part of a set of lucids which has brought me an interesting consderition about the differerent "States" of lucidity. I will explore it and would be very interested to hear the comments of practiced dreamers.

      Non Seized Lucidity

It is the becoming lucid that may be the most interesting so Ill begin there. What happened was similar to most of my lucids in the last year in that it is very spontaneous, as in no reality checks etc. This time it was because I was escaping something by flying, the flying brought me an instant recognition that I was dreaming. 0 The one key difference in the becoming lucid that was apparent here though was the way in which I accepted the lucidity. In all my previous lucids, which maybe are around 60-70 at a loose count, I am very quick to seize the control offered, even if i intend not to do much with it, even if i just sit still, there is a very concious feeling of "Taking control" even in a dream I choose to simply relax. However in this dream and the last few I have had, I have a strong impulse not to seize anything, and so I become aware, I do not seize it, but I do not loose lucidity either.

It seems to me these few times that the key thing was to continue the action I was doing, until it was completed.
I dont know why this seeemed the correct thing to do, but once the action came to its natural end, I then continued with the dream, assuming control almost in a natural, gracefull way as oppose to seizing it. Have any of you felt such a key, but subtle difference? I should be clear that im not suffering from waking up from excitment, and can general maintain a medium length lucidity, so the difference i mean is not the difference between being calm or excited.

The result has appeared to be that, I am expereincing much less blacking out on assuming lucidity - What i mean by blacking out is not having a fullly stable dream - vision is gone or something such.
So where I have often been spending time feeling up my enviroment to regain my vision, this time I simply landed when it was time to land, and felt it was right to assume control and began to stabalize by "touching up" my enviroment.

      The following spirit guide dream

Anyhow with that main consideration aside, id like to tell about the rest of my dream. While stabalizing by touching the grass on a grassy meadow I notice there is a black bag beside me, I decide while stabalizing that this is very interesting, as there could be anything in it, and im sure it will be usedfull. After Im satisfied the dream is stable, I look inside the black back, inside I find a pack of tablets, which Im quite sure are lucidity pills having deliberatley created such things before. I take one and feel very confident the lucid is stable (they tasted very nice by the way). I casually explore my dream enviroment, jumping in a beautifull canal of feathers, I cant really remember any dream goals until I come up out of the canal and see a house.
I instantly remember a long term goal of mine to find my spirit guide, or inner self. I Find the owner of the house loading in groceries and parking his bike, I ask him if he has anything to show me, He says nothing, but is friendly and gestures for me to come inside, I come inside, he says nothing and continues with taking off his jacket, settling in to his home. I ask him if he is my spirit guide, he smiles and asks me, "What is a spirit guide anyway?" I laugh, realizing that within the dream I cant formulate it, and that it seems a completley ridiculous question, it is apparent to both of us that the obvious result of me asking the question shall be that i shall ponder the question itself. After this im stuck with what to ask, and so I ask him what I ask many dream persons - "What do you do with your life" - He is by this point sat in a chair near the fire, and says "No questions, only answers" At which point I awaken.

Im not sure why i was struck by the impulse to get up, get dressed and share this dream, it is very uncommon I have a dream I want to share so publicly. I hope it was interesting for some of you, and if any of you have any similar relfections or experiences Im excited to read them when I next wake up, as now im going back to bed!
