I'm new to this, how should I go about it?

New to this type of dreaming, really interested, i've tried several times to hypnotise myself to sleep and so on, but I can't relax, eyes twitch and open and all, so I could find it hard to do this. Any tips much appreciated thanks a lot!

Indeed, Lucid dreaming is veeeery interesting and cool. There are 2 distinct ways to achieve one.

      1. DILD - You fall asleep normally, and while in a regular dream, you realize you are dreaming.
      2. WILD - While falling asleep, you let your body fall asleep, but you keep your mind awake. That way you can observe formation of your dreams and enter one, without losing consiousness from being awake, into being asleep and dreaming (while still keeping your awareness inside of a dream)

I would recommend to read DILD in here Induction Methods and Techniques and start practicing. If anything need more clarification, just ask in that thread, and we will be happy to guide you along.
