      Tales from Eden

Hello all. I've been away for a while but hopefully I'm be able to contribute more to the forum now. I mentioned about 9-10 months ago that I was attempting to build a dream world that I could visit in lucid dreams. I have been rather successful.

I call this world Eden, as in the garden on Eden (although I'm not religious myself). I decided early on that in order to get here I needed to become lucid and then find a door which will lead to a beach. I decided it was best to start off on a beach as it would be fairly easy to recreate it. If I started off in a city there would be too much detail to recreate every time I went there.

The first time I made it to Eden I met a DC that I call The Architect. He told me he would help me build Eden. The next night I got lucid and returned and found there was a whole village on the beach. The Architect was there and he winked at me. In the space of one night he had built me a village. About 90% of the time when I enter Eden it looks how it should. The other 10% there will be a few changes but I figure this is pretty good. I've met tons of awesome DC's, like Zac, a guy who runs a bar on the beach, and Smith, a very colourful and creative character.

I continue to explore Eden and I've found loads of amazing places. Some of these places I consciously make during the day and others just appear in the dream. Below are a few drawings of the places in Eden

I'll try to keep people informed on my journey (if people are interested) and hopefully I'll be more active here now.

Very awesome! I intend to do the same at some point. Did you try to visualise the place before in waking life, or just decided to start on a beach you found inside your dream?

Haha! I define, (OR Hyu defined) these as *Persistent Realms*, dreamscapes in which you can revisit, and are *persistent*.

I am currently working on the same project.

im definitely gonna create a persistent realm as soon as i can. yours is really awesome, i am actually quite amazed by how persistent even the characters are especially the architect. perhaps he is your dream guide? the persona of your subconcious?

I decided before I started that I wanted it to be on a beach and I spent some time visualizing what it would look like. As soon as you enter the sea is on the left and to the right there's a sort of jungle and a path that leads up to a house (where I live lol). Theres a little bench looking out over the sea next to this path. That was all I had planned out before I started. It didn't really look like that when I first made it there in a dream but now it pretty much always looks like that and everything that gets added always remains so the village the architect built is always there. Ever since the bar appeared it's always been there, etc.

I have a lot of very persistent characters so I don't know if he is my dream guide. Two interesting characters I've met are Discipline and Disorder. Discipline is a young woman who is very strict and usually gives me tips and techniques on how to stay focused in the dream. Disorder is a weird squirrel creature that follows her around and often tries to distract me and get me to do my own thing. I find these guys really interesting because they sort of work as a team but represent different things. If I only listen to discipline then I miss out on being creative and experimenting but if I only listen to disorder I get too carried away and forget some of the important things that I need to practice in order to stay lucid. Therefore I need to listen to both in order to maintain a balance.

My head is full of really interesting and life like characters lol.

i see. i guess i am quite surprised that your DCs are so consistent because mine aren't. my dream world isn't either. everything is very fluid and constantly changing. i am hoping that as i get better at LDing things will become more stable. i love Discipline and Disorder btw, they sound really cool.
