Thread: Can I count this as a lucid dream? I don't know what to make of it

I believe it can, or maybe your mind just perceived them to be a perfect simulation, however you just missed a detail that showed that it was not perfect. As for the loosing conciseness and waking up. Did you wake up in the same place your body was in your "dream" or did you wake up laying in bed like you normally do when you wake up?

My question too, Because if so, that is truly fascinating. One would think that if you were to answer yes, you must have been in such a light stage of sleep that your body was carrying out the motions with your dream, while you dreamt of the book shelf. Kinda scary, really. But cool none the less. I'd deem this a lucid dream, With physical mobility.

OR, Your eyes WERE open, you were perceiving the bookshelf as per usual because your eyes were perceiving reality. However, during this, Your BODY was in sleep mode/dream mode still. You simply thought it was a dream, so just as your body is slowed in FA's, your movement is slowed in reality as well. I wouldn't deem this concept a LD.

I believe I woke up in a slightly different position - in the dream, if it was a dream, I think I sat up with my left elbow on the bed, then I woke up lying on my back again.

The thing that makes me so confused is that I couldn't see my hand at all, it felt really weird flapping it in front of me and just seeing empty space.
Also, I did have a LD experience similar to this a few weeks ago where I felt the floor under my feet and with the same crystal clear vividness, and I know for sure that at least this was a dream because my bed was mysteriously turned to the right 90° and I had a television at my feet, and I don't even have a television in my school apartment.
So it feels like there is at least a possibility that I had a lucid dream this morning as well, but the things on the shelf seemed to be almost too accurate.
Maybe I was both awake and in a dream at the same time?

I think that was a lucid dream. The getting up from your bed is classic way of entering WILD/OBE (depending on which one you believe).

Funny you mention your arm RC. I did that recently, while WILDing, and I was still on sofa. I waved my arm infront of me, didn't see it, only some kind of a space distortion, like looking at object through hot air, or cloaked Klingon ship. But I did feel the motion of my arm moving. I stood up and was in LD.
