Can I count this as a lucid dream? I don't know what to make of it

Last morning I had an experience that was pretty much like the False Awakenings I tend to have once per week, but I'm not sure if it even was a dream or if I had just woken up.
      Anyway, here goes:
I felt like I had woken up, and I was lying in bed, but like in most of my False Awakenings I had problems moving, and I moved like a snail out of bed, probably about 5% the normal speed (it took nearly half a minute just to leave the bed!).
I looked at a shelf some distance away in my room, and I was amazed how vivid and real it looked, almost exactly like in waking life.
So I did a somewhat unusual Reality Check where I waved my hand in front of my face, and tried to spot it - but I saw nothing!
It was empty space in front of me no matter how much I waved my hand right in front of me, so I concluded that it must be a dream - then shortly after that I felt like I lost consciousness and suddenly I could move like normal again, and it turned out I was awake for real that time.
But I am not sure if I dare count this as a lucid dream - every single object on the shelves looked almost identical to in waking life (I actually made a comparison when I woke up, and I don't think I could find a single noticeable difference, except maybe some of the things where slightly more to the left or right, but I'm not even sure about that), and yet I couldn't see my hand in front of my face at all and also felt that weird sensation of losing consciousness and immediately waking up, which usually only happens in my lucid dreams.

What do you think I should make out of this?
Can a dream really be so lifelike that it manages to make an almost perfect simulation of separate objects on a shelf?

I believe it can, or maybe your mind just perceived them to be a perfect simulation, however you just missed a detail that showed that it was not perfect. As for the loosing conciseness and waking up. Did you wake up in the same place your body was in your "dream" or did you wake up laying in bed like you normally do when you wake up?

My question too, Because if so, that is truly fascinating. One would think that if you were to answer yes, you must have been in such a light stage of sleep that your body was carrying out the motions with your dream, while you dreamt of the book shelf. Kinda scary, really. But cool none the less. I'd deem this a lucid dream, With physical mobility.

OR, Your eyes WERE open, you were perceiving the bookshelf as per usual because your eyes were perceiving reality. However, during this, Your BODY was in sleep mode/dream mode still. You simply thought it was a dream, so just as your body is slowed in FA's, your movement is slowed in reality as well. I wouldn't deem this concept a LD.

Either way, pretty cool experience Laurelindo

I believe I woke up in a slightly different position - in the dream, if it was a dream, I think I sat up with my left elbow on the bed, then I woke up lying on my back again.

The thing that makes me so confused is that I couldn't see my hand at all, it felt really weird flapping it in front of me and just seeing empty space.
Also, I did have a LD experience similar to this a few weeks ago where I felt the floor under my feet and with the same crystal clear vividness, and I know for sure that at least this was a dream because my bed was mysteriously turned to the right 90° and I had a television at my feet, and I don't even have a television in my school apartment.
So it feels like there is at least a possibility that I had a lucid dream this morning as well, but the things on the shelf seemed to be almost too accurate.
Maybe I was both awake and in a dream at the same time?

I think that was a lucid dream. The getting up from your bed is classic way of entering WILD/OBE (depending on which one you believe).

Funny you mention your arm RC. I did that recently, while WILDing, and I was still on sofa. I waved my arm infront of me, didn't see it, only some kind of a space distortion, like looking at object through hot air, or cloaked Klingon ship. But I did feel the motion of my arm moving. I stood up and was in LD.

      Nice experience, congrats : )
