Can someone help me try to comprehend what occurred in my dream right now? Because I feel like I'm going to go insane!! Ha ha ha! Okay, so I've only been practicing lucid dreaming for almost a week now, due to a lucid dream I had before I started practicing. I may have had another one last night. Here's the thing: I don't know where it fits in. I had a dream that I was lucid dreaming but I wasn't aware that I was dreaming. AT. ALL. Now I know what you're thinking. Oh okay, a layer 0 lucid dream. Yea, I think so too. But for some reason I feel that it's more than that. Let me tell you more about it. I was in my dream with my girlfriend. The other really weird thing about this is, I don't think we were ourselves. I have a feeling that we were, in fact, people completely different. Interesting little side note but it doesn't really matter so let's carry on. I was teaching her how to lucid dream. The catch here is at NO GIVEN POINT was I was aware of the fact that I was indeed dreaming, a very bizarre experience. When I woke up this morning I couldn't at all wrap my head around this, my mind was going into shock lol. Anyways, there's more. At this point I was teaching her how to fly in the dream, and we did it before we landed on a cliff. There was a lake of sorts beneath us and we dived into the lake. Here's another strange part to dwell on: when we were in the lake, I told her she couldn't fly out of the water. She had to be on solid ground first to do this. I don't know why I would tell her this but hey, everything makes sense in a dream, right? Now you may be saying to yourselves, "Well turns out that you weren't dreaming that you were lucid dreaming. You were just exercising some form of dream control within the context in the dream." Yes, you're correct. And that context would be that I thought I was lucid dreaming without knowing that I wasn't. My mind is still trying to comprehend this as we speak, but oh well. Going back to the dream, we were in the water still when I fought a shark and ripped it's jaw open. It had mortally injured myself in the process, but I knew it wasn't going to matter because I was only dreaming... ? But anyways, I was watching Inception right before bed. It might have to something to do with it but I'm not sure.
I don't know how to explain this any other way and I want your honest opinion on it. Was it just an anomaly of a layer 0 lucid dream? Or perhaps something more? Has anyone experienced something similar or maybe even the same thing? I wanna know cause I have some mixed emotions about what just happened to me last night lol so don't be afraid to tell me what you think, I'm a very open minded person
