      Systematic dreaming, Storyline dreaming

I don't know about you guys, but my dreams are often VERY systematic, I often have Deja Vus, and sometimes my dreams follow a storyline!

      Systematic?

I been "trying" to fly in my dream for as long as I can remember, but my official flying started somewhere around age 16

Note: In my dream, I fly using a leg motion similar to riding a bike

I started living in Australia since I was 10 FYI, none of the dream scenes of China are actually dreamed in China

      Dream State(16 at the time)
I was about 12, I was at my grandmother's house in China, I was very hungry and then I saw a big cake/pie floating in the air, I tried to reach for it but it was too far, so I moved my legs(in a bike riding motion) and I started floating unstably, while wobbling, I flew to the food and ate it. I noticed that I had a "L" plate on my back (In Australia, L plate is attached to the back of a car if a learner is driving it).
      End of dream state
I only wore the L plate once, but I always knew I was still a learner until I went through the "P" plate phase (In Australia, a driver must first hold L, then red P, then green P, then they can drive without indication plates on the car), I had red P, skipped green P and I went straight to be fully qualified.

      Dream state
I went to school and was playing soccer(football) with friends, no one would pass the ball to me because I wasn't very good, so I decided I would try to impress them, I flew 10m into the air, and intercepted the flying ball to score a goal from half field. I then noticed I had a red P on my back.

      End of Dream state

I flew unstably throughout the L to P period, often losing control, became more stable but still wobbly after the red P, a few months after that I mastered flight in my dreams, and now I can sometimes levitate myself, sometimes even fly like superman(after I propel myself high enough with the bike riding motion).

I also age in my dreams as I get older IRL.

      Now, the story line part...
I've had some dreams that connect with each other(not dreamed on consecutive days), and somewhat make sense, example is zombie apocalypse... I've had a few dreams depicting the breakout of a zombie apocalypse and surviving in it.
Other times I've had instances when I have a dream, get woken up by something, then continue the dream right where I left off.

It feels a bit weird, but I guess its cool

99% of my dreams follow a storyline of some kind, whether it's surviving a zombie attack, going on a quest in the dungeons / old ruins, strange contests, long journeys across the dream world etc...

And same as you they continue, sometimes I get repeat locations or even repeat storylines, also if I wake up and fall back asleep they usually just continue where I've left off.

I also find it really difficult to become lucid in these story dreams because I'm way too busy engaging in the cool world my brain has created to think that it's a dream, the same way you would get drawn into a movie or video game. It's in fact my main problem at the moment, when I have "normal" boring dreams it's easy to realise I'm dreaming because I have time to ponder, but in these action packed story dreams I'm way too busy trying to succeed on my quest for the magic book or fighting assassins to have time to realise I'm in a dream.

      Some examples:

Last Wednesday I was fighting cyborgs inside a barren sci-fi landscape, dodging space junk showers by ducking inside an abandoned building and then trying not to die from parts of it collapsing. (I could be dre- oh shit it's falling on me!)

Friday - I'm instigating an escape from a mountain / mine prison (Spartacus style) by smuggling emerald super spears of some kind and I got thrown into the fighting pit and had to survive that, not sure when to realise I'm dreaming while fighting for my life. =\

The dream straight after that one I'm in some kind of competition with magic users (I was trying to MILD ooOoOoo look magic beetle race...)

Saturday - I'm at a car park catching a car thief by, well, being a badass. I tied him up and called the police only to have to chase after him again.

Sunday - This was the only semi-normal dream, I was busy explaining to someone about awareness, funny enough; did not become aware. Like one of those dreams where you are talking about lucid dreaming and you don't get it. xD

Monday - this morning once again I was too busy fighting inside a nightmare-type dream being hunted by an assassin. This dream was not fun, I got shot. =[

Point is if I don't calm my dreams down a bit I don't think I'll be getting another LD for a while.

If anybody has suggestions to counter this in DILD I'd love to hear them, at the moment my LDs are all WILD since my dreams just seem too busy to DILD. =] =[
