I think there's no issue, just a matter of mis-labeling. Reframe what you're doing into something helpful. I would call what you're doing daydreaming. And daydreaming can be a helpful tool too, just with different goals. So maybe allow yourself some time each day to daydream, with the goal of rehearsing becoming lucid, revisiting past dreams, or incubating future dream scenes. You can do that in private. Then in public, focus on the ADA technique where you're remaining present with your senses and real objects. |
