      Question Being sure

      Hello everyone,
My name is Žan, and I'm new on this forums. First of all I don't want to pop out like a guy who is asking how to do LD and ask some questions, which of were answered already in xy threads.
I've read everything there is on forums about LD, and just want to share my experience with you. Hopefully someone who is experienced will let me know if its right.
First of I'm 99% sure LD occurred to me before, since from my head I can tell 2 or 3 dreams week, week and a half ago, very detailed.
How I came across these forums? Googled "How can I dream of someone who I never met". Somehow came across LD(which I heard of before) forums and now I'm totally into it. In fact I'm so psyched I couldn't even go to sleep yesterday (I was up to 5 in the morning, then finally fall asleep).

So I decided to go with DILD for start. During the day whenever thought of it, I stopped and did following: ask myself if I'm dreaming, imagining that when I walk around the corner there is going to be something unrealistic (like a dragon for example), looked at my palms noticed details like a 2 blisters which are there and a little wound and of course count fingers. I went for default mantra (couldn't think of anything else for now) "Next time I'm dreaming, I look at my hands and realize I'm dreaming.", in my native language (?). All of this were done around 10 or 11 times during a day.

So around 1AM I'm going to bed, not really feeling asleep (could be because of coffe?), read some more threads, and thinking about what could I expect and what is the purpose. This time I wanted to see my crush in anyway, nothing else really mattered, even took a look at some of her pictures and talk to her. I was also getting ready IF become lucid, wont freak out, stay calm and do dream stabilization. And of course with my eyes closed repeating mantra. I must say, had a hard time falling asleep for the first time, I was so excited about, what will happen to me. Then I slept for like a hour (which i realize is not enough and I was angry), then I stayed awake till 5AM (watching hockey).
I do realize over thinking and thinking too much could be the problem first time I couldn't fall asleep. Then with help of little music, completely relaxing and actually forgetting about LDs for today I slept from 5AM to 1PM. Well nothing happened I think also because of exhaustion (was really exhausted in the morning already), didn't had any dreams that I would be aware of.

I know LD doesn't just happen in one night, that it takes time, just want to be sure if this is the right direction I'm going?
      How coffee affects dreaming?
Stupid question but, should I translate verbal commands to my native language ?
Is it really possible to force LDs later? :O
Can I use musi to fall asleep?

Thank you for comments. I'm really glad I found this forum.
I read these dreams can be quite awesome

Hey Majeric (I would say your name, but I can't find that Z :p), Welcome! I'm not really experienced so I cannot help you much there (yet). All I can say is: I've had a good experience with the DV Acadamy. You can make your own workbook there and have all the information in 1 place. What technique you use, how you approach things, what dreams you've had, you know, stuff like that. It's easy to see your progress and if you have any questions, people here can easily read all about you. So that's my advice. Also, you are right that it doesn't happen over night. But if you keep at it, I've been told everyone can get them. As long as you have dedication and the right techniques of course. Lastly, do you keep a Dream Journal? If not, that might be a good idea. If you write down your dreams it will become easier to remember them. I've had success with that already in only 3 nights of using it. The last thing you'd want is to have a Lucid Dream only to forget it

That is pretty much all I can think of.

Hope you have a great time here and great nights of course

You're off to a good start. The one thing I would recommend is a dream journal. While it's still new and your motivation is high, the best thing you can do is channel that energy into forming good habits that will last a long time.

Coffee is going to make things harder. The foundation of good quality dreaming is good quality sleep. Anything with caffeine is okay in the morning, but not later when it will affect your sleep. Same goes for other factors that affect your sleep like sound, light, stress, food, stimulants, etc.

For language, I'd say do whatever is most comfortable and natural to you. I'm an English speaker so maybe I don't have experience for that.

With practice, anyone can become an experienced lucid dream and have lucid dreams every week, even every night.

Music during sleep is okay if it is something you do already and it's not too loud or stimulating. What matters most is what is comfortable, so if it's already a habit, then you can keep it so.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

      OK So now I'm excited!

Had it today I suppose. After a week of very bad sleep, because when I tried to sleep just couldn't because of excitement of having a lucid dream (I did fall asleep eventually but not that easy).

Well yesterday I was very tired, no problem with sleep. In the morning I got awake few times (not intentionally), I knew its those awake stages between REM have been sleeping for 6-7h then already. So I told myself lets try, but again because of excitment I felt that am getting less and less sleepy, so I decided forget about lucid dreaming now, because I'll have hard time sleeping again. And it happened while I was completely relax. I guess it was WBTB technique (which really seems to be working with me, I like it very much!)

So now to the dreams, please confirm if they were lucid (despite I'm 99% sure).

I had a vivid dream before, then another one in a room, with 3 men (can't recall who even thought I was pretty sure who was, when I woke up, not now). One had a blazer and I noticed he keeps getting strange stuff from his pocket, so easily. Maybe I could figure its a dream before but at some point I did, without RC (which I'm not happy about, because I want to get used to RCs). I needed S-VIDEO cable, its not important why, event I'm not completely sure . The point is that on one side pin was ok but on another was weird. (THIS IS S-VIDEO CABLE), tried to "spawn" it 3 times. It was not ok every time so I went on dreaming. (I spawned with imagining cable will be on top of the some closet and it was 3 times, I thought yaaay ).
I was excited about dreams, but I was aware that this could be bad and thought "just simply anchor myself in it". Then I wanted to get to my crush, can't completely tell what I tried to do beside imagining her and her place, but every time I lost control of dreams (they became dark, and blurry) so I rather stop it few times. And joined those 3 men in their scene (and they became very clear suddenly). After some time I went on with the plan anyway (think I tried spinning). I don't really recall what happened, I suppose failed because I can't remember anything later on just my phone ringing (I was so upset someone had to call me right now).

Bad thing is that meanwhile I did not do RCs, rubbing hands just didn't thought of it :s , I have to get some skills (though spawning object was really simple this time ) .
But feeling was really nice, knowing that you are dreaming. I think was overpossessed with one idea (simply had to get to this crush somehow), just didn't see anything else I could do. In fact I think was a little afraid that if I try anything dreams will fade (as they did with my "plan" in dreams).

Thank you for reading, I'm really excited
